11-11-11
exciting date, no. grand unveilings plus just plain cool. turns out just another of those days for me.
start: morning rush determined to get to school on time, keep in mind sometimes the line for parking, quite long and lately the enterance way to where i park hasnt been working properly so even potentially longer, the kids as usual are a little laggy and i seem to think that a booming voice may eg them on - waterbottles flying, almost out of cream cheese and this little piggy wont eat anything but cream cheese on his sandwich for lunch and we go, and go, a little frosty out so i thoughtfully send this little piggy ahead to scrape the windows- doing weelll. pack the car shut the doors and if my car could screech off, here is where i would. rush into the school to just make it to the enterence way where that little piggy squeeled ooo i forgot something- and turn around to see him with out his back pack- and this is where i am set off- i just live 2 min drive away- but no, i let the wolf take over and i huff and puff again- shoving them into the car- screeching into our driveway parking way askew for dramatic effect and put the car into park before it even starts cause i am flippin serious and i will feel afraid i broke the care later, but now, gotta get the back pack- everything is way off now my potential lining of factors are irreversibly out- of -whack- now. the little piggies skweel in fear in the jarring car- i assure no probs as i command them stay as i go out to the household door- there the backpack- im an idiot.
back we go and i really try to assure my presious that twas not his fault at all and appologise for my huffing and puffing- but and but. get to their school and i hug away their trauma and speed away to my next hurdle, breathing while waiting in line...
get there. practically on time. class out early for remembrance day assembly - next class, a little over time but fine. i walk over to my car with a funny feeling, a familiar foreboding feeling- and alas, the indicator is in the position of headlights on. i am not going to cry. surprisingly i see a caa truck pull up close by, and i spend some time unneccisarily weighing the pros and cons of approaching him, being i do not have CAA but i do have some cash...half ass formulate a plan while i walk over on this cold and windy rememberance day.
he was quite nice and told me he would come help after he finished his call.
in the meantime i talked to a guy in a campus car- and i tell him of my dillema and he tells me, he cant help me but i can walk down to campus security and get a thing from them to charge my car- i spy the caa guy... he is still working on the call, seems to be having a bit difficult time... i calculate the length of time to get to the security office and begruge the fact that i may have to make that bloody walk twice... will the guy actually come back to help me- i would not want to miss him by taking the trip through the school...back and forth for a while, and i go sit back in the car. stand by the car. and finally he comes by- You ready? he asks me.
(ha ha) i let him in the parking lot- and after a few discouraging tries, it turns over- hallelujah it turned over, i happily hand him over 10 bucks and thank him very much, and as i go i try to think of ways to make it up to my 3 little piggies for the wolfy me this morning.
